As both doula and photographer, Molly has the gift of making you feel comfortable and cared for and I recommended her wholeheartedly!

I had a lot of apprehension going into the delivery of my second son after the birth of my first son was quite difficult. I knew I needed to prepare more to have a better chance at having the birth I wanted. The prenatal appointments with Molly helped prepare me by talking through the things I had experienced and knew I wanted for this birth, but she also brought so many things to the discussion that I hadn’t thought about before and that I didn’t even know I could advocate for myself on. My husband’s reservation with hiring a doula was that his place as my support person would be taken, but Molly taught him ways to be an even better support for me throughout labor and gave him peace of mind as Molly was there for him too. At 41 weeks I went in for an induction; Molly arrived at the hospital shortly after we had gotten settled into a room and I cannot described how much peace I felt when she arrived. Thanks to our prep work, I had also felt confident advocating for myself leading up to her arrival, something I never felt during my first birth. She made my room so cozy, many of the nurses and my doctor mentioned how calming the room was and how they wished every room felt that way. Things progressed quickly and Molly continuously reassured me to move around however I felt the need to, again something I never felt confident doing during my first birth. When it came time for pushing Molly was right there supporting me and my husband. Since things had moved so quickly one of the things on my birth plan hadn’t been asked about, the mirror, so Molly found it and made sure I had the chance to use it. As we welcomed my son, Molly was just as ecstatic to meet him as we were! She made sure we had the classic photos on her phone of him on my chest with me and dad, him being weighed, and others, which I am endlessly grateful for. Molly helped as I latched him for the first time. Molly stayed until everything calmed down in the room, I had the chance to shower, and made sure we had anything we needed before she headed out. Even after leaving she was following up to make sure baby and I were both doing well, she was interested in how big brother did meeting baby brother for the first time, and just checking on us in general. My second birth was a completely different experience from my first, for the better, and I think the biggest thing that made the difference was the prep work that Molly led me through mentally and the recommendations she made for me to prepare physically, along with the peace I felt in having her with me leading up to and during labor. For any future births I may have, I absolutely see Molly there and I am endlessly grateful for her.

Molly's friendly disposition instantly connected with our children. She provided a great balance of both direction - of where and how to pose - and freedom to behave as our family usually would. Our photos were natural and beautiful. We were so pleased with our family photos, she was the first person we asked to shoot our daughter's senior prom group photos. Molly really captures a variety of photos in a short amount of time. In just 45 minutes, she was able to capture singles, couples, and group shots in various combinations, all while moving us around the venue. It can be difficult to get teens comfortable in front of the camera, but Molly easily drew out their personality to capture the real 'looks' instead of posed smiles... which means so much more to me as a parent.

Molly has been photographing our family since our almost 5 year old was born, fresh and in the hospital. Over the past five years, Molly has become a dear friend -- the kind that answered texts of a panicking new mom and reminded me I'm doing a good job. Recently, she became my doula and birth photographer for the birth of our son. To say I was grateful to have her there is an understatement. She brings an ease, a peace, and a security with her wherever she goes -- and I was so grateful in the hospital to have that and her knowledge of having 3 kids of her own. She answered questions I had (even second time moms are nervous, I found out!) and never once made me feel dumb for having them. She advocated to nurses and anticipated my needs. She simply hung out with us and made the 12 hours of induction bearable amidst my nerves - bringing words of encouragement on cards, laughing with me and my husband, and reminiscing on past experiences with my daughter. And she doesn't even have to know you to bring this level of kindness! You won't regret for a second having Molly as your doula or photographer -- she brings great ideas, poses and is respectful of your requests too! And her photography is beautiful. That obviously speaks for itself!

If you would’ve asked me one year ago what a doula was, I couldn’t have told you a thing. Ask me today, and I won’t shut up about how amazing my doula was. Not only was Molly physically supportive (I needed a handheld fan on me at all times during contractions 😅), but she was there for us mentally and emotionally too. From our first meeting, she was professional and made me feel at ease.

She helped me achieve the unmedicated birth that I prayed and planned for my entire pregnancy. She made us feel confident in the process of labor and birth. When I thought I couldn’t do it any longer, she was there. She helped teach and encourage my husband to be the best support and everything I needed. She made my birth environment peaceful with lights, music, and encouraging words. She fed me ice chips and held my hand during every push. Most importantly, she prayed for us and trusted God to lead. I could not have asked for more.

I can’t recommend Molly Lollar enough. She will absolutely be part of all my future births, and I will sing her praises to all my pregnant friends and family!
